Hello,

My name is Marie. I'm French, have been living in London for the past 13 years and truly enjoy teaching.

I have experience in teaching my beautiful native language the way my clients feel like learning it and adapted to their needs.
Lessons are mainly based on conversational French which I enlighten by horrific yet, marvellous drops of grammar and bits of vocabulary.
Lessons are improvised on the go and inspired by the mood of the day.
I’m also happy to help someone already learning in a school set up and needs extra support with their lessons.
I run one-to-one tuition but can also work with groups.
What matters to me is to make every lesson relevant to my clients' life there and then, aspirations and inspirations.
There are many ways of learning a language and I thrive in using media that talk to my clients best and subjects they enjoy (through books, music, films, role play...)
Lessons can be home-based or at one's favourite coffee shop/pub.

I can teach children and young people too. I've passed a Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and subsequently carried out a work placement at The Lauriston Primary School in Victoria Park where I was supporting during French After-School Club.
There, I also gained experience in teaching with reception and year 4 children.
My DBS certificate is clear and is available on the new government update service.

Self-employed, my timetable is flexible and I'll therefore try and accommodate you the best I can.
