Marina Comas

I am a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring teacher, committed to unlocking the creative potential of students of all ages. Using a variety of materials, I aim to develop understanding and love for the instrument, finding musical solutions to technical challenges. I also particularly enjoy working with young children, and making music exciting and fun for them. Above all, I believe that learning and making music contributes to one's personal and mental growth.

An experienced performer, both as soloist and orchestral musician, I have benefited from the highest level of training - studying on Janos Starker's internationally-renowned cello programme at Indiana University, and with world-class soloist (and former Royal Academy Principal) Lynn Harrell at Rice University, Houston. I was subsequently principal cellist of the Orquestra de l'Academia del Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona.
I am fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan.
