After a very successful career as a solist with The English Opera Group,English Music Theatre Company,New Sadler's Wells Opera, Scottish Opera, Opera North and The Royal Opera House Covent Garden Martin McEvoy founded Crystal Clear Opera and London City Opera.These two commercial opera companies toured throughout the U.K. Europe and America gaining great critical acclaim and Arts Council awards.On his return from America Martin McEvoy became in great demand as a coach and teacher. Martin's vocal teaching is based on correct breatning, body allignment and placeing the voice. To be a good performer you must be able to not only sing the notes but also interpret through the words and with your body. Martin also teaches stage technique and presentation skills. Martin McEvoy broadcasts regularly on BBC radio talking about opera and performance.

Martin McEvoy was awarded The York Scholarship to Study at The Royal College of Music London. While at the RCM he won many prizes and awards and later was given The Ralph Vaughm Williams Scholarship to study in Germany.
