In order to be successful it is essential that the student is aware of what type of sound he or she is after by listening to as much music as possible. Listening to the great masters will make the concept of sound less abstract.
The sound of a musical instrument is the soul of that instrument which reflects our own soul.To miss or give little importance to this aspect is to loose transcendental connection with music and oneself.
Lessons are focused on sound production, posture, technical development, improvisation (according to student's ability).

Martino has delivered performances in venues such as Southbank Centre and Teatro Regio of Torino. Appeared as a soloist with the CostaRican Symphony orchestra and alongside Peter Erskine and Catrin Finch. Martino is a very experienced teacher running classical and gypsy workshops and master classes in the UK and Italy. Martino is part of the ‘The Ride for Good’ project, which was formed to explore music traditions from Berber (Amazigh) people of Morocco, developing a teaching path in schools and villages.
He is an alumnus from Berklee College of Music, graduate from the Royal Academy of Music and the Conservatory G. Verdi of Torino.
In addition to the saxophone, Martino also studies cello with professor Dario Destefano working towards attainment of his second performance degree.
He has been awarded scholarships from the ‘De Sono Associaizone per la Musica’ Torino (Italy), the North American Scholarship (USA), the ‘CRT Master dei Talenti’ Torino (Italy) and the ‘Mosco Carener Award’ RAM London (UK).
