Motje Wolf is a violinist, singer and choir director based in Leicester (UK).
She works as Director of Music at St. Margaret's Church, Leicester, and also focuses on her singing career in Early Music, studying with Andrew Massey in Oxford.
From 2008-2012 she was a Choral Scholar at Leicester Cathedral. She sings and performs regularly with various ensembles and choirs, such as the Cecilian Singers (Midlands), Sing Evensong (London), Leicester Church Music Consort, Leicester Cathedral Choir and Leicester Cathedral Chamber Choir.
On a regular basis Motje conducts youth choirs all over Germany and enjoys especially working with young and inexperienced singers.
As part of her M.A. degree in musicology at University of Leipzig she studied choir and ensemble conducting with the Director of Music of University of Leipzig Wolfgang Unger, composition with Prof. Bernd Franke and singing with Ursula Schönhals. From 2007 until 2009 she continued her voice studies in Leipzig with Stephanie Kümpel.
She also has been studying the violin since the age of four playing and performing as soloist as well as with various orchestras and string quartets. Her most influential violin teachers have been Hendrik Hochschild (Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig), Erika Ozeki (Düsseldorf) and Koji Toyoda (President of the Talent Education Research Institute aka Suzuki School), with whom she studied in a master class. Motje has won first and second prices at regional competitions, completed a solo tour at the East coast of Germany in 2004 and regularly performs as soloist.

Motje teaches in English and German.
