Nasser Butt
Nasser Butt is a Senior Instructor and North England representative for the World Taiji Boxing Association and has been studying Chinese martial arts for more than 20 years.
He initially trained in Wing Chun for several years before moving onto what is now his main area of study - Taijiquan, Baguazhang and Qigong under Erle Montaigue (Master Degree China).
Nasser started his study of the internal arts, particularly the 'Old' Yang Style of Taijiquan and Baguazhang, well over a decade ago. He has been teaching Taijiquan as a fighting system, in and around Leicestershire, for more then 10 years and is deeply passionate about people 'rediscovering' the real nature of this wonderful art.
He has taught people from as young as 6 to 70 years old and holds several workshops for carers groups within the local community and for Leicestershire County and City councils on a regular basis, working with groups as diverse as Age Concern, Clasp, Network For Change and the Junior Youth Inclusion Program. He has also taught in several local schools and colleges, introducing the concepts of Taijiquan and Baguazhang's training methods as an alternative way to exercise and healthy living.
Nasser is currently teaching at several locations, including De Montfort University, Leicester, The Peepul Centre, Leicester, as well as at several venues for Age Concern, to mention a few. In the past, he has, also, taught at Leicester University's Green House for nearly 2 years, Greens Health & Fitness, and Burleigh College, Loughborough.
However, as of June 2010, Nasser has been busy, along with a bunch of friends & students, building a more permanent venue for his school, and is pleased to announce that the Fa-jing Ch'uan Internal Chinese Boxing School is now open for business.
Located alongside Aylestone Locks on the Narborough rd, the school is a 3700 sq.ft venue, capable of holding a 100 people for any type of martial arts training and we are looking forwards to meeting you there.
