All aspects of my personality are driven by integrity and sensitivity. Integrity demands that everything I do, I do to the very best of my ability with honesty and commitment. Sensitivity dictates that I am consistently compassionate and understanding of individual differences and needs. To be a successful teacher I feel that these are essential.
My personal singing experience includes being the lead vocalist of a cabaret band since its creation in 1978. We have recorded three albums and have played pubs, clubs and concert venues in the Sout East and Midlands.
I have been principal baritone with a touring opera company since its inception in 1990 and have sung many roles from the operatic repertoir. I became a self employed tutor in August 2010 and am enjoying my new role.

Head of Performing Arts

From 1993 to 2011 I was head of a thriving and successful Performing Arts department at Fonthill Lodge Preparatory School in East Grinstead, West Sussex. I was responsible for music, drama and dance within the school. I produced, musically directed and choreographed forty one shows, organised twenty one carol services and numerous concerts. Being a trained baritone, I took particular interest in singing throughout the school. I ran two choirs and a chamber choir and offered individual singing lessons after school. I also taught adults at home.
