Paula Beaumont
Run primarily by Glasgow medical students, our main aim is to provide free subject-specific one-to-one tuition to secondary pupils who live in Glasgow’s disadvantaged areas in order to raise their confidence, qualifications and career prospects.
For our students we also provide rewards for hard work and a break from the difficulties that they may have at home or in their community. We do this by providing excursions at the end of term times as well as social activities and events throughout the year and by providing a mentoring/big sibling scheme.
We could not provide any of these things to communities without the dedication of our tutors who are offering their time and experience free of charge because they feel strongly that education should be fair and equal for all of Scotland’s children regardless of their background or financial situation.
Our tutors are also available for discounted private tuition in Glasgow and Edinburgh to all students outside of our associated schools and each tutor will pledge 10% of their fee for each hour they work to Epic Futures to help fund the charitable activities of the group.
Fees £15/hr (£8/hr Lone/low income families)
