I started training back in 1986 in a system called Tao Kuen Kung Fu later know as Holistic Combat due to the influence of western fighting concepts added to the system. Started teaching in 1995 and called the club Black Dragon Freetyle Martial Arts. My instructor sadly passed away in 2008 and I am now the Chief Instructor.
Over the years we have trained with many other styles, traditional and non-traditional. was introduced to Krav Maga in the early nineties and have implemented many techniques in our system.
Black Dragon Freestyle Martial Arts is my interpretation of jeet Kune Do. No one teaches Bruce Lee's J.K.D because that died with him. So when you are looking for Jeet Kune Do classes always remember that. Any one who says they teach Bruce Lee jeet Kune Do does not have an understanding of Jeet Kune Do. Jeet Kune Do was not another martial art, it was a concept. Calling it a martial art was not Bruce Lee's way.
