Richard Hales – Ukulele Teacher

Richard Hales was a primary school headteacher for 18 years and has taught for over 30. Since October 2008, Richard has taught children and adults how to play the ukulele in Hampshire, West Sussex and Portsmouth. The ukulele is both child-friendly and inexpensive. It is ideal for teaching to whole class groups of children. Most of Richard’s work is with local authorities but he is also available for private tuition, freelance lessons and school workshops. Ukuleles are provided. He has CRB and public liability insurance and can provide references.

Ukulele Tutor is a user friendly iPhone application for beginners who want to learn easy-to-play ukulele songs.
The application includes:

* 4 Lessons covering tuning, plucking, strumming and playing three easy “one finger” chords
* Recordings of 3 songs for the learner to play along with
* 4 colour coded chord diagrams
* A ukulele tuner
