Thanks for looking at this page! My name is Richard Lane and i am the senior self-defence instructor for the derbyshire self-defence club. Derbyshire Self-Defence Club is based in Ilkeston Derby and now has beginners classes starting at Rutland Sports Centre Ilkeston on Sunday mornings & Springwood Leisure Centre Oakwood Derby on Thursday evenings. All ages(14+) and fitness levels are welcome. I am a member of the Self-Defence Federation UK under Dave Turton 8th Dan. I teach the full SDF grading syllabus and also short courses designed for men, women, children, corporate and private individual tuition. I have studied various martial arts over a number of years to varying degrees but believe the no nonsense approach to practical street self-defence is the most useful to date.
