Rohit Anand
Rohit Anand is an ace flautist, master craftsman and a professional music therapist based in Delhi.
He is the one of the few artistes to have ventured into the art of flute playing as well as flute making. Studying music under the prestigious guru-shishya tradition of the Maihar Senia gharaana, Rohit ji learnt the nuances of Hindustani Classical music under the tutelage of maestros like Pt. Ravi Shankar, Late Smt. Sharan Rani Backliwal, and Ustad Aashish Khan. A self-taught flautist, he chose to learn from exponents of classical music, albeit stringed instrument players. His long and soulful sangeet sadhana reached a pinnacle when he was able to make the world's smallest bansuri that can play up to two octaves.
A philanthropist to the core, he has also studied the effect of music on the human body and is a succesful practitioner of Music Therapy.
As a musician, he imparts music knowledge in the purest guru-shishya tradition of flute playing at his residence.
