I will always remember my first performance being at 10 years old in the lead role in the school Christmas Pantomime and singing 3 solo songs. That’s when I got my first real taste for performance and never looked back since. When moving into Secondary School I was always first to be chosen for lead roles in the yearly musicals as well as going to a drama club at weekends and dancing after school most evenings. From the age of 13 I also decided that I wanted to learn to control my voice and gain expert training. I did my examinations with the London Thames Valley University of Music and Media and achieved all distinction levels.

Knowing this is what I wanted to do I applied to go to High Melton College to do a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts Drama and after 2 fantastic years at the college left knowing Musical Theatre was my route in life! After searching through most University Prospectuses looking for the right course, sadly my dad decided against me doing Musical Theatre and advised me to go into teaching.

In September 2009 I started my BAHons Primary Education with QTS. I enjoyed the course and learnt a lot during the year I was there but unfortunately did not carry on due to a family bereavement and other unforeseen circumstances, which required me to be needed at home.

After that I carried on working part time and full times jobs whilst dancing each evening and doing voluntary work at a local Primary School. I knew my heart was in singing and performance as well as teaching. That’s when I found Vocaltutor and knew it was for me. I still perform to this day and my lessons will be taking place in Fantasy Dance studio in central Doncaster, which is easily accessible for everyone
