I offer workshops and tailored training for Community Groups, Businesses and Voluntary sector organisations on positive responses to Climate Change, Peak Oil and the Banking crisis.

I am a qualified Environmental Auditor and one of only 16 people nationwide to be qualified to deliver the Transition Network's Energy Resilience Assessment, which helps organsiations identify how vulnerable they are to changes in oil and commodity prices. I can then assist organisations in developing organisational resilience to commodity shocks.
My work with the Transition Network is offered on a not for profit basis with a sliding scale of charges for different sizes and types of organsiations.
I can also assist organisations in the development of environmental and energy management systems, including those designed for certification against ISO 14001.

Experience

Living in a Low Carbon world

I have over 20 years experience of training organisations in sustainability and environmental issues. I am a committed member of my local Transition Group and am trying to lead a low impact lifestyle myself but I understand how difficult it is to for organisations and individuals to undergo radical change. I present dark issues in as light and creative way as possible and always seek a positive solution. I believe that technological progress and engineering solutions may help us in the path to limiting catastrophic climate change but that only a deep change in attitudes and awareness will give rise to a viable low carbon future.
My academic background is scientific ( I have a degree in Chemistry and a Masters in Environmental Law) but the consultancy and training that I offer provides a balance between a scientific understanding of the issues we all face and a humanitarian approach to developing new ways of living which are not dependent on fossil fuels.
The workshops I can offer can be tailored to any size and type of organisation at any stage along the path to energy descent/ low carbon operation.
