Born and raised in East London, Sam Hayder is an enterprising young film maker come IT engineer with over 6 years of experience in both fields. One of the best known figures in the creative scene, Sam is behind many of the screenings and events taking place each year, from small scale screenings to full blown film festivals like Raindance East and The East London Film Festival. His technical knowledge ensures that most go off without a hitch.

As a camera operator, lighting technician, and editor, Sam has worked on a wide range of titles, ranging from short films, documentaries and music videos, to media for web and animations.

THE SMALL PRINT

I don't claim to know any of the subjects inside out but what I can promise is that after you have been through the sessions you'll be confident enough to run an entire project yourself without needing external help. I've trained hundreds of people across Europe in various subjects and currently tutor an MA course in film making, and work as IT & AV support/filmmaking trainer for a living.

The sessions are 1 to 1 or you can bring a friend, and offered for free and based in East London during evenings and/or weekends. You supply consumables such as blank DVDs, tapes etc. Beer, food and/or donations are always welcome too ;) Time has no concept here, contact me, tell me what you want to learn and we'll see when we're both free. See it like asking a mate to show you how to do something.
