ACT 2 CAM is a Drama School which specialises in Film and TV Acting. We run drama classes, drama courses and summer camps in acting and film making.
We are a new kind of drama school, dedicated to screen actor training and giving young people acting experience in film and TV. More young people make films with us than any other drama school.
We offer unbeatable training and work experience in film, for actors, directors, camera and sound operators, and writers.
Unlike other drama schools, we operate as a professional film company. Our drama classes do not just teach acting, we teach young people to create, script and star in their own films. We produce several independent films each year, with cast and crew of young people from 8 to 18 years old.
We deliver complete work experience in acting and film making, with young people in charge of the creative decision-making process. Students learn, and are involved in, every aspect of film–making—from generating ideas through devising and scripting, acting, shooting and producing. Our students can specialise either on–screen or behind–the–camera.
We have Drama schools across the North East in Durham, Harrogate, Middlesbrough, Morpeth, Newcastle, Tynemouth and York.

We also offer other resources to help prepare young actors for the incredibly competitive world of film and television. For a comprehensive list of services, please log on to our website at www.act2cam.com
Each Term's intake, or Company, will be be divided into subgroups, or Casts of around 20.
Each Cast will then rehearse, led by their own Mentor, devising their own unscripted drama for the film, while developing skills, knowledge and understanding in the craft of screen acting.
At the end of the rehearsal period, each Cast will join a Director and film Crew for a whole day's Shoot to record their unscripted films. The film then takes about a month to edit, before it is premiered at a local venue.
