About ......
Tanya born in Cali -Colombia she is the first lady of salsa in Yorkshire and in the North of England, a professional dancer/teacher/choreographer and performer she has carved out a reputation as one of the best and most authentic creative and innovative dance teachers in the UK. With over 20 years of experience she has introduce thousands of people not only to dance but also to her culture, her work is outstanding, she works under the names of Cusan Theatre and Salsa Cusan for more information on her work visit: www.salsacusan.com and www.cusantheatre.com

For the past 16 years, Tanya has worked alongside her brother Sergio, also born in Colombia, South America. He has been working as a freelance dance artist and working on a variety of projects that involve performing and teaching.

Group Classes

Salsa Classes at INKWELL in North Leeds

Tanya teaches at INKWELL in Chapel Allerton every Wednesday evening.

From Salsa to Merengue, Bogaloo and other Latin rhythms this classes are suitable for every one; they are open classes so you can join them at any time.

Times for classes are:

Beginners Salsa /merengue class 7- 8 pm (cost £5) a great and fun class and a wonderful introduction to salsa and merengue, this is suitable for all ages and abilities and you don’t need a partner

Many of our students also do two classes on the same evening so for example some beginners also do the first half hour of the improvers/intermediate the cost to do this is £7.

Improvers/intermediates Salsa /Merengue class 8 – 9pm (cost £5)
These are open classes so new students are always welcome with or with out a partner)

Intermediates/Advanced practice class 9 – 9.30pm (cost £2 )
Most of our students do the Improvers/Intermediate class plus the extra half hour for only £7, by doing these you get a superb 1 ½ hour class.

Inkwell is not a pub but you can bring your own wine , relax and have fun learning to dance with us.
