It has been a long time coming but finally we have managed to create an amazing all day salsa event at the Victoria Hall, Hook, RG27 8RQ. This is a beautiful venue with multiple rooms and a main ballroom with a great dance floor.

DAYTIME WORKSHOPS
1pm - 6.45pm
This will be an amazing event where you 'The Dancer' will be the primary focus of our efforts. You will get the opportunity to participate in a number of extended and streamed workshops in Salsa On 1, Salsa On 2, Cha Cha Cha, Afro and Son. These day time workshops will be delivered by an amazing team including Basil Pinnock, Melissa Lambourne, Tracie Gooch, Gareth Deats, Trevor Sweetlead and Heidi Ford - We also have an all day workshop for absolute beginners where they can learn salsa in 1 day!

There is a great variety on offer here where musical awareness, musicality, body movement and styling are Incorporated into the main classes. However, we are offering a more focused approach with our workshops and have ensured that the program is not overloaded. This will allow you the flexibility to fully immerse yourself in one style of dance for the day or mix and match - the choice is yours.

EVENING CLASSES AND PARTY
8.30pm - 1am
For our evening classes and party we will be joined by Angus Peters and Chunky teaching evening salsa classes followed by a great social until 1am with our guest DJs Angus Peters and Julian Summers. We will also have 3 amazing shows for you including Hombres en Clave. We are very excited about the whole day and have been able to keep prices very affordable as follows:

Well, we have classes run by TLC for all levels from Absolute Beginners to Gold Level, in the most popular Ballroom & Latin dances.

If you are coming on your own, the hardest thing will be walking through the door, but we give you a warm TLC welcome and you’ll feel right at home after that. Don’t panic about starting, as we assume you know nothing about dance, and with our wonderful teachers we can cure anyone with the ‘2 left feet’ syndrome! No partner is necessary as we rotate partners, which helps you meet new friends and makes a lovely warm and friendly vibe. Fear not – there are no exams and you will have sooooo much fun – guaranteed! Go on, take the chance, it might just change your life!

We have a very fun and friendly Salsa scene in Southampton, where we love to dance and meet new friends.
TLC is one of the longest established salsa clubs in the UK, and our teachers have a wealth of experience, several of them teaching and/or performing at international salsa congresses.

We have 2 nights of Salsa on Wednesdays and Thursdays and the start dates for the Absolute Beginners 6 week courses are offset, so that new courses start every 3 weeks on one day or the other.

Don't panic - we assume you know nothing about dance on your first lesson and everyone else is in the same boat. Our courses are designed for the Absolute Beginner and offer you the chance to learn this fantastic dance, slowly and progressively with our expert teachers and is also great value for money. Places are limited and our courses are always over subscribed so book now to avoid disappointment.

Partners are very welcome, but not obligatory. You can come on your own or with friends and we’ll rotate the partners for you. It’s great fun, and even if you have 2 or more left feet, we'll give you the right one back! Join us on the dance floor and we will guide you through every step along the way.

The hardest thing you'll have to do is walk through that door, but after that, we give you the 'TLC' experience and you'll have FUN guaranteed.

Our Tango Tasters for Absolute Beginners start on the first Tuesday ahead of the 7 week course. If you can't make it on week 1, you can always join on the second week, when they revise the basics in the first week.

You can attend on either night, pay the £10 (£7 NUS) taster fee and decide whether you want to continue on the 7 week course.

We assume you know nothing at the beginning so don't be shy to take your first steps with us at TLC.
