Trevor White 6th Dan
I have trained in Wado Ryu, Aki Jitsu, Bo Jitsu, Aiki Jo, Sai ,Korean Karate and Ming Chuan Kung Fu which has allowed me, amongst other things, a more open minded approach to Karate training and more interaction with instructors from different styles. I follow a traditional syllabus for grading's but encourage new ideas and techniques from other martial artists to widen the scope for all my students
I first attended a Karate session in 1975 (Wado Ryu) - I obtained my 3rd kyu in July 77 and shortly after was advised that the Club was closing. I then took up Korean Karate - I had to restart as all the Kata were different and re grade all over again - in 1980 I was graded to Black Belt. I opened my first club in 1981, 2nd in 1985, I then formed my own association, South East Freestyle Karate Association (S.E.F.K.A).
I still attend many courses to continue to improve my skills and pass on my knowledge to others.
Since 2002 I have also trained in Ming-Chuan Kung Fu, often travelling over to Dublin for advanced training. I received my 1st degree in May 2007, and now also teach Kung Fu.
