Tricia Luckcuck
I am a piano and electronic keyboard teacher with considerable experience in schools and as a private teacher.
Having worked for both Nottingham City Music Service and Notts County Arts Support Service I've worked with hundreds of children in 18 different schools and have taught many more mature pupils from home.
Pupils learn through reading music, through improvisation and composition. They can also choose to be entered for examination with the ABRSM and the London College of Music and can take part in performances, but these are by no means obligatory.
Music theory is taught as an integral part of each lesson. Again grade exams can be taken if the pupil wishes.
Some pupils, often mature pupils, prefer to play for pleasure only and can choose their own repertoire to work with.
I have also worked with pupils with learning disabilities and am pleased to help any pupil who needs special assistance in their own way.
I always offer the first lesson without a fee so that both the pupil and I have a chance to decide if we are 'right for each other'.
Most lessons will be held at my own home in Wollaton, but if circumstances demand I can attend either a school or the pupils home.
My fees are £12 for a half hour lesson. Arrangements can be made for advanced payments.
