Start your own Children and Teenagers Jewellery Party business

Start your own children's jewellery making party business. During the two day workshop you will learn how to plan parties, teach children jewellery making techniques that matches their abilities and interests. As Health and Safety is paramount you will be shown how to write a risk assessment and policies, plus how to apply for a criminal record check.

You will have the opportunity to create sample pieces of jewellery to photograph for your web site and show to clients. The range of materials will include beads, crystals, leather, felt, polymer clay. By learning to work with a range of mix mediums you will be able to keep your young clients interested and have them book you again for their future celebrations.
The classes are small, friendly and relaxed and packed full of information

Learn to make fine Silver Wedding day keepsake jewellery

During the two day workshop you will learn to replicate small flowers and leaves from the brides bouquet in fine silver as a everlasting jewellery keepsake to wear every day. The course will include discussions on starting your own business and included is a business guidance CD rom. You will also learn how to create the very popular fingerprint jewellery as an additional bonus plus how to add crystals to the pieces you make. We will discuss the range of jewellery you may offer clients and how to cost your work and maintain records. Students who participate on this course will be offered 5% discount on future purchases of silver clay.

Beginners Silver Metal Clay

Introduction to precious metal clay and sterling silver
A fun and creative one day work shop in Brighton and Hove City that will introduce you to the necessary skills to work with silver metal clay. The classes are small and friendly and importantly delivered by a fully trained and experienced teacher.
Through out the day you will be watch demonstrations on each stage of the making process and how to complete your pieces, (usually a pendant and a pair of earrings) to a professional finish ready for you to wear home.
I will show you how to torch fire your work so that should you wish you will be able to continue creating unique fine silver jewellery at home without the expense of a kiln.

With over 17 years’ experience of jewellery design and making Valerie brings with her the confidence to bring out the creativity in others.
Valerie is skilled teacher holding a BA (Hons) in Professional Educational Studies and Certificate in Education as well as jewellery making qualifications in mixed media.
She is presently teaching jewellery making at the through City College Brighton and Hove.
