William Summers
I teach and play Recorder and Flute in early music ensembles and in modern bands. Teaching is either in Hampton, where I live, or in Vauxhall. My approach is structured and friendly, and involves careful listening and the basic elements of music as well as playing. Improvisation plays a part in some lessons.
I teach adults the Recorder at Morley College [where I have also taught Flute], and also lead workshops in schools with Princes in the Tower - a roving Tudor trio.
Apart from playing and teaching, I spend my time studying the musical history of Hampton Court at Kingston University and pursuing other interests such as learning French, cooking and cycling.

THE SMALL PRINT
Arrangements for private lessons are relatively informal, and I am quite happy to give 'one-off' lessons. Children must be accompanied by an adult; and I have a CRB certificate available for view. However, bookings for events must be confirmed on both sides with a signed contract.
