Yusuf Mahmoud

Hello!

I am a professional singer and tabla player based in London.

I have been singing since the age of 10 and studied Indian classical music at the Sri Ram Bahartia Kala Kendra College of Music in India.

I come from the most famous family of tabla players in Afghanistan; I am the son of Ustad Asif Mahmoud and nephew of the late Ustad Hashim Mahmoud.

I write my own songs and my videos are broadcasted on TV and youtube. I have attended many award shows and play concerts for both tabla and singing around the world.

I also play at many weddings and parties around the world.

I am an experienced music teacher; I taught Ethno-musicology for 5 years at Goldsmiths college London and I regularly teach students singing, tabla, harmonium and rabab.

I teach from home or travel to the student's house. An alternative location can be used if required.
