Originally the Village school, the Hall was extended after the Great War as a memorial to those who served. It became the Village Hall after the school closed in 1980, and was upgraded and further extended with Lottery Funding in 2004. Calton is in a quiet location just off the A523 between Leek and Ashbourne, in the beau.tiful and popular Peak District National Park. Well used by the local community but available for outside hirers.
