CUSTOMIZED SAT / ACT prep tutoring
I provide individualized tutoring to prepare students for the SAT.
[I do NOT provide a 'test prep course'.]
Inherently, ‘test prep courses' focus on the needs of the masses, not YOUR CHILD, the individual. Therefore, students in 'prep classes' spend their time (and your money) going over skills that they know, and rushing over concepts that they don’t understand.
In my customized tutoring, your child focuses on those skills and concepts that s/he needs, and doesn't waste time repeating those that s/he already understands.
I start by giving a diagnostic test, and providing a skill-by-skill breakdown of the results. Then, I analyze your child’s strengths and weaknesses to create a tutoring plan, based on his/her needs (and your budget)!
I also teach students to maximize their scores by using test-taking strategies specific to their test-taking styles and skills.
