I am an experienced tutor for learners of all ages. I am a state certified teacher, and hold an American Montessori Society teaching credential. I have spent the past 15 years teaching and tutoring students (elem – adults) in a variety of settings.

In my tutoring, I use many hands-on manipulative materials. I often use Montessori materials with students (even those who have never experienced Montessori education before) because of their amazing capacity to help students - no matter how old – to really UNDERSTAND the concepts, rather than just ‘memorizing the steps to get the answer’ the way that textbooks (and many tutors) often teach.

Tutoring Available In:

* MATH: elem through geometry and algebra 2 (at any age)

* LANGUAGE: all levels/ages: grammar, reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary

* TEST PREP: test-taking strategies, SAT, ACT, FCAT, ASVAB, GED, FTCE and others

* SCIENCE / SOCIAL STUDIES: all elem and middle school subjects, high school biology

* SPECIAL NEEDS: dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, autistic spectrum, processing delays, gifted/talented

* HOMESCHOOL: academics, enrichment (Curriculum development and learning environment design consulting also available.)

* OTHER: study skills, organizational strategies, public speaking
