The Albion Arts is Hertfordshire’s newest contemporary art venue, located at Thrales End Farm, Harpenden. A unique combination of a retail craft boutique and art workshops in a buzzing environment.
The Albion Arts runs a comprehensive programme of workshops for adults, from beginners to the more experienced artist. Come and join us on one of our many creative workshops or stop by and visit our craft boutique, stocked with handmade treasures!
The Albion Arts was started by jewellery designer and silversmith Joanna Mason as a reaction to a lack of good quality, and varied craft workshops. Joanna aims to awaken the inbuilt creativity which we all possess, endeavoring to improve mental, physical and emotional wellbeing through the creative process. The Albion Arts strives to revive and keep alive art and craft skills by encouraging artists and crafts people to pass on these skills.
The Albion Arts is driven through the organisation of workshops, and through the collaboration of designers, artists and makers within the community.
At The Albion Arts you will find a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to be creative. All art workshops, located amoungst rolling Hertfordshire farmland less than two minutes from Harpenden Town centre, have limited numbers of 10 pupils - so you get all the attention you require, are taught by experienced, professional artists and include materials, refreshments and lunch.
