Christopher Bonfield
I am 29 and am a medieval history lecturer at the University of East Anglia (Norwich). I teach several undergraduate modules (years 1-3 and MA), and have taught for over 5 years, both at UEA and at the University of Warwick. My specialism is medieval medical history, although I also teach general units on medieval history. In the last 4 years, students have consistently rated my teaching highly, and my courses are fully subscribed. I have also offered personal tutoring to students, helping them with essay skills, spelling and grammar and historiography.
I can teach the following subjects: Medieval History, Medical History, Medieval Church and Religion, Wars of the Roses, Black Death, Medieval Cities and Medieval Hospitals.
In addition to my university teaching, I also run day schools throughout the year, via the university's outreach department, aimed at year 10/11 GCSE students enrolled on the Edexcel 'Medicine Through Time'. I am familiar with the GCSE syllabus, and can offer expert help on the four humors, medieval public health, medieval hospitals and the Black Death. Last year I wrote a website on medieval hospitals, which as since been recommended by Edexcel as a teaching resource.
