London’s “make do and mend” scene has really taken off over the past few months and one of London’s recent additions to the crafting arena is Tea & Crafting.
The idea is to make these craft workshops affordable and effortless to attend. No more 6-8 week upfront and paid commitment instead you take part in various crafting evenings or afternoons whenever suit you! One week you could be learning how to knit, the next week you will be making your own bracelet and earrings! All this will be done in just a few hours and will cost you less than a night out or an afternoon shopping (yes even during January sales!).
The atmosphere is informal and friendly, chatty and creative. You just turn up on the night and learn a new skill, but you leave with a new craft under your belt, your beautiful item you created and also a “How To” resource guide to keep on crafting at home.
Most classes are suitable for complete beginners and are limited to eight people so book soon to avoid disappointment. All materials are included in the price

We’re not sure when and we can’t be sure who started it, but somewhere along the line, knitting has become the quirky girl’s pastime du jour. As well as the occasional hip indie girl you see knitting on the train, there’s a pack of crafty stars getting in on the needle action too, including Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz and Madonna. After over two hours of knitting and knattering, you’ll feel like a pro; you’ll have learned all the basics including knit and purl stitch, how to cast on and cast off, stocking stitch and garter stitch. Keep your new-found skills topped up at home using your take away kit of bamboo knitting needles (lightweight, so great for beginners!), yarn and a ‘how to’ guide.
