I am a very experienced Teacher and Professional Singer and am also a Secondary School Music Teacher. I have taught children and adults of all levels of ability, from 5 years upwards to 80 plus.
I love teaching adult beginners, especially those who have always wanted to play the piano, but believe it is beyond their capabilities.
Over the years, I have also come across many adults who would love to sing, but are convinced they are 'tone deaf'. However, more often than not, it turns out not to be the case.
I enter both children and adults for exams, but am equally happy for pupils to learn simply for enjoyment.
From time to time I like to arrange very informal pupil concerts, so that pupils can get used to performing, if they so wish.
My qualifications are DipMusEd,LTCL(GMT),LLCM and I am 'Disclosure Scotland' verified.

THE SMALL PRINT
I normally charge for 5 x 30 minute lessons in advance, according to the ISM contract.
Piano lessons (Children) usually 30 minute lessons.
Singing lessons (Children) either 30 or 45 minute lessons.
Adults sometimes prefer to come for 1 hour lessons and if they are available in mornings, I have more flexibility and therefore, can charge per individual lesson, rather than by series in advance.
