The basic principles of qigong 2
Lesson 2
Repeating the shifting weight principles covered in lesson 1 and correcting movements.
Further work on circular movements and whole body movement.
We will look at ways to help develop sensitivity in feeling energy in the channels.
We will check stretching in movement to balance the 5 organs and 10 channels.
We will cover/repeat some movements from Wild Goose forms (mostly the 1st 64 movements) and start learning the beginning of Wild Goose 5 for agility and flexibility.
This is a general guide as everyone is different and need different amounts of practice to embed the principles.
One or two lessons are good to see if you like qigong, but in order to create change in your body I recommend a course of 10 lessons along with 10-20 minutes daily practise. Joining a class is also beneficial.
Qigong, like yoga, is a life long study and requires daily practice to maintain the benefits. Try to put aside 10 minutes a day when you first begin.
