Blues Guitar & Improvisation
Within this lesson we will cover the ideas and techniques used in both traditional and modern blues guitar styles.
By the end of this lesson you will not only learn classic rhythm and lead techniques in the style of the blues greats, but also become familiar with the stylistic differences between sub-genres including 'Delta', 'Texas', 'Mississippi' and 'Chicago' blues.
Have you ever wanted to improvise fantastic solos in the style of blues-rock guitarists like Gary Moore, Jimi Hendrix and Jimi Page? - I can show you how!
How about learning to play fingerstyle blues in the style of Robert Johnson, or even Eric Clapton (MTV unplugged)? - I can teach you exactly that!
Whatever your playing standard I will get you learning a whole new world of ideas, ranging from great soloing techniques (including getting away from the pentatonic scale and creating tension and resolution), to a range of rhythm and accompaniment ideas (from classic blues riffs to jazz-blues chordal substiutions with walking bass lines).
Most importantly, you will leave this lesson feeling inspired!
