HD essentials with Final Cut Pro

So you have a working knowledge of Final Cut pro and now you've been thrown into the world of HD.You're faced with jargon like H.264, pixel aspect ratios, scan rates, trans-coding etc. How exactly do you get your XDCAM or Cannon D5 footage into Final cut? And why isn't it playing properly?!!!! What the hell is Long GOP compression and what exactly is the phrase '1080i50' telling me that is so important to my life? Why are there about 500 dfferent options for exporting my video in Final Cut pro???

Having once been in that same state I know how it feels and can guide you through the mess that is HD. After 3 and half hours you will come away a great deal clearer.

This session assumes a working knowledge of the Final Cut Pro interface- it can be quite basic such as knowing how to put clips in the timeline and put one after the other. I realise many people are being stumped by importing issues before they can really get much experience with the interface.

I teach using a questioning and participatory style rather than lecturing at you about HD for 3 and a half hours!

WHERE:
  • I teach from home (or a fixed venue)
  • I travel to students
  • I teach online
WHEN:

Mornings, Daytime, Evenings, Week days, Weekends

HOW LONG: 3.5 Hours

LEVEL: Intermediate

Rates:
This is a flat rate. We can arrange further lessons according to you needs at a charge of £16 per hour. I do ask for a minimum of 3 hours per session- £48. Otherwise running across town for one £16 is not good for me and is not enough time for a productive lesson.
