Intermediate Beat Juggling
This lesson is introduces some beat juggling tricks. It caters towards DJs have already started basic beat juggling but are looking for guidance and inspiration for making their juggles more complex.
THE LESSON
The techniques I will cover:
• Adding extra drum hits
• Using the upfaders for cutting
• Incorporating scratching and backspins
• Tapping
I will provide you with a handout at the end of the lesson to summarise everything that you've learnt.
EQUIPMENT
• We will be using turntables.
• I will bring beat juggling material. If you have doubles of records that you want to use then bring them along too.
• If you have your own decks I can travel to you or you can travel to me, whichever you’d prefer.
N.B. At this stage I assume you have decent turntables with good torque. If you don’t then I’d advise that you travel to me.
