Portuguese Lessons
I've been giving private Portuguese lessons for some time now - employing a range of methods to suit all levels to great success.
My excellent command of the English language and in-depth knowledge of British and American culture help inform each lesson, bridging the gaps by establishing comparisons and highlighting key differences.
Clarifications between Portuguese as spoken in Brazil and Portuguese from Portugal can also be provided, if that is of interest.

Slang lessons
Claire and I were in a charity shop by the office, buying suits for the next Formal Friday, and overheard the assistants giving the new Japanese assistant lessons in London slang. Here are a few terms, for those who aren't sufficiently 'street' to know them already:
'peng' = good/hot
'butters' = bad/ugly (As in "dem beats is butters man")
'nang' = good
'sick' = also good
'sket' = a slut, a sexually promiscuous girl
Also enjoyed their exchange with their six-year old sister:
- 6yo: "Why can't I say 'sket'?"
- Sister: "Um... because it's offensive"

Unlimited Resources
Every member of School of Everything can add notes, links, videos, images, documents and other things to the site that help people learn or teach a particular subject. If you're learning, you can use it to keep track of your progress in your subjects and all the things that help you learn like useful websites or how-to videos.
If you're teaching, you can share useful resources and advice that you think will help people learn you subjects. You can tag each resource post with one or more subjects, and your posts will appear to other people looking for those subjects.
Don't be shy, say hello. We'd love to hear from you.
