Group Classes
Different Class
This is a series of highly interactive seminars curated and facilitated by Jonathan White of the London School of Economics. Each one has a short reading from a classic text of C20th social or political theory that should be done in advance.
The sessions aren't cumulative so it's OK to come along if you've missed some.

Big Ideas
Big Ideas is an ongoing series of free events. At each we have an invited expert -- usually, but not always, an academic -- who gives a short introductory talk. The discussion then develops with the audience in a free-flowing but focussed manner. See http://bigi.org.uk for details of upcoming events.
Experience
Examiner
I'm an examiner for City & Guilds functional mathematics examinations.
Lecturer
I'm a lecturer in guitar at Greenwich Community College. I'm a guitarist with more than 25 years' experience, specialising in jazz, rock and avant garde styles. At GCC I teach both practical skills and theory. I also take private guitar students.
Lecturer
I was the sole tutor on the postgraduate (Masters-level) course Language in Journalism. The course was run by Brian Winston, a pioneer in the linguistic analysis of the news, and some of the approaches we taught there are now part of A Level English Language.
Tutor
I ran weekly undergraduate seminars for two years in both the English Literature and Philosophy departments at Cardiff, being a graduate of the former and a research student in the latter.
