Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, brought to us the Reiki Precepts and described Reiki as a mental and spiritual improving aid. Using these precepts as a 'how to live' will help us understand; Healing your own spirit is paramount. It is true to say that to heal the physical you must first heal the mental/emotional cause. The common meaning of the term ‘healing’ is the act or process of regaining health or, more specifically, the “restoration of damaged living tissue to normal function”.

Iomlán Meditation and Health centre was opened in Ennis in Autumn 2009 as a space where people could learn ancient meditation techniques and to receive healing and therapy and also to learn how to heal themselves and others.

The centre offers the teachings of the Hanmi Esoteric School of Buddhism and is home to the first Hanmi empowered shrine in Ireland where we hold our meditation classes and open healing sessions. These meditation classes and healings come from the Buddhist tradition but are not religious practices and are open to everyone.

Can anybody do healing?

Everyone has the natural ability to heal. The two main ingredients to make a successful healer are the ability to give love unconditionally and the intention to channel universal healing energies for you will be acting as a conduit for the energies of love. These energy streams are of such high vibration that they will uplift the spirits of the person you are helping and assist in the releasing of the imprints left of their energy field by past experiences. This will help them to let go anxiety and disharmony resulting in feelings of calm and balance.
